Cannabis Professionals Unite to Inspire Corporate Social Responsibility Across the Growing Industry
LEAF to deliver feminine hygiene bags to Rosie’s Place on May 26
A group of professional women united by the cannabis movement are working to improve the lives of women beyond the cannabis community. On May 26, Ladies Empowerment Action Fusion (LEAF) will provide to Rosie’s Place in Boston with more than 60 feminine hygiene bags assembled from donations from professionals in the Commonwealth’s cannabis industry.
“Good corporate citizenship isn’t reserved for companies in established industries,” said Cara Crabb-Burnham, Dean of Faculty at the Northeastern Institute of Cannabis and founder of LEAF. “Philanthropy feels good and can have a huge impact on lives and communities. We hope LEAF serves as inspiration for other cannabis companies to make corporate social responsibility part of their business platform.”
LEAF’s feminine hygeine bags include maxi pads, tampons, disposable razors, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, bandages, socks and combs. The group is planning additional charitable events and efforts in the Boston area in 2016. For more information about LEAF, visit: https://www.facebook.com/LEAF42016/.
